Remembering His Benefits
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
Psalms 103:2
While some people, especially workers may fail to remember God’s benefits, they will never forget the benefits associated with their employment. I’m yet to hear of a worker forgetting his or her health insurance benefits, retirement package and what have you!
As humans, many of us don’t place value on spiritual things! That’s why we can easily forget all the things God has done for us. In the passage under review, David cautioned that we should “forget not all his benefits”.
In Psalms 116:12, David pondered and asked himself a cogent question: “What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?”
The truth is that you and I cannot pay or offer any amount of money or anything whatsoever to God for what He has done for us. His benefits are priceless! How much will you pay Him to be kept alive? How much will you pay Him to be forgiven or redeemed? How much will you pay Him to enjoy health or healing?
It will be very invigorating and titillating to our soul, if we deliberately remember and savor His blessings always!
Let’s consider 5 benefits:
1. Forgiveness
“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”
Psalms 103:3
2. Healing
“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”
Psalms 103:3
3. Redemption
“Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies.”
Psalms 103:4
4. Good things
“Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
Psalms 103:5
5. Righteousness
“The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.”
Psalms 103:6
I decree and declare that you will enjoy divine benefits always in Jesus mighty name.
Yours sincerely,
