Profitability of Service
“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”
Exodus 23:25
Until you know that service is profitable, you may not give yourself to it cheerfully and wholeheartedly. Service is not derogatory! Service to God or man has profits or benefits. In the passage under review, God has promised us sickness free existence if we serve Him. We don’t labour in vain! The Bible says, “They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.”
Isaiah 65:23
Let’s consider 3 profits of service:
1. Long life
“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.”
Exodus 23:26
God has promised us longevity, if we engage in kingdom service. Dying young is not part of the profits of service, as such, I decree that you shall not die early or young! The number of your days you shall fulfil in Jesus mighty name!
2. Honour
“If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”
It is service that guarantees honour! If you want to be honoured, then embrace kingdom service.
3. Inheritance
“Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God; And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:22-24
We command the reward of inheritance as we serve the Lord. As such, we must be steadfast and keep abounding in the work of the Lord, as we know that our labour shall not be in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58)
I decree and declare that profits of service will accrue to you in Jesus mighty name!
