Knowing how to trigger Revival
“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.”
Psalms 85:6-7
If we truthfully and critically examine our spiritual lives, the verdict is certain: revival is critically important and needful! We need a spiritual reawakening from our current state of spiritual stupor or stagnation. We need to re-fire or rekindle our love for God. These days, many believers are carried away with the things of the world. Many are no longer passionate about God and His kingdom. Many have become lukewarm. Spiritual things don’t matter to them or move them.
What a shame!
Do you want to be lifted out of any spiritual dryness, indifference and worldliness? Do you want to be useful to God and on fire for Him? If yes, then you need real revival?
What is revival?
Revival is the rejuvenation of your spiritual life. It is about God visiting you and renewing your passion for Him, and His Word. Revival is about you entering into your season of great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes to spur or energise you to become passionate about righteousness and evangelism.
He comes to cause you to spend more time in prayer, reading and obeying God’s Word. Revival is key to your relevance and usefulness in the kingdom!
Let’s consider 3 action steps that will trigger Revival:
1. Humble yourself before God!
“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”
Isaiah 57:15
2. Delight in God and express your desire for revival to Him!
“Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
Psalms 37:4
3. Pray for revival
“O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”
Habakkuk 3:2
I decree and declare that you will experience Revival in Jesus mighty name.
Yours sincerely,
