Breakthrough is Possible
“And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”
Genesis 26:22
Business challenges or problems are real. But equally real is the power to confront the challenges with a view to overcoming them. The Bible says, “For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.”
Psalms 18:29
No matter how ferocious your business- enemy- troops are or no matter how tall the WALL of your business challenges are, with God’s power you can command success or breakthrough. Your season of Rehoboth is finally here!
What is Rehoboth?
Rehoboth means “For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” The path to business breakthrough is not an easy task. Getting to your Rehoboth will attract opposition from the devil or his agents who are out to stop you. But breakthrough is Possible! The Lord will only make room for you if you refuse to give up. The business breakthrough of Isaac is attributable to his ability or resolve not to give up in the midst of challenges. Some believers think that as children of God we are not supposed to be confronted with challenges or difficulties in business. What a faulty way of thinking! Isaac as a covenant child of God was faced with real challenges in his business. He had real oppositions but none of those deterred him from forging ahead. Rehoboth is the reward for those who refuse to quit no matter what they are passing through in their business. Isaac never allowed his challenge or situation to define him. Rather, he allowed it to inspire and strengthen him. You too can be an Isaac! Refuse to give up!
3 ways to command breakthrough:
1. Be Hopeful
“It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.”
Lamentations 3:26
Isaac was hopeful, and full of faith that he would breakthrough somehow, hence he kept digging and digging until he got his Rehoboth.
Isaac never allowed the ferocious attacks from the opposition or the pain of his situation make him hopeless. Life is better when you’re hopeful. With hope in your heart you can breakthrough.
2. Be Diligent
“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.”
Proverbs 10:4
Breakthrough is possible, if you dare embrace diligence. In the midst of business difficulties, Isaac became very rich and wealthy because he was a diligent worker. The fact is that in the midst of hard times or challenges it’s easy to give excuses why things are not working. But Isaac never resorted to giving such flimsy excuses. Rather, he kept labouring diligently until he reached his ultimate goal. Breakthrough is a possibility!
3. Be prayerful
“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”
Psalms 5:3
I’m of firm conviction that an idea or strategy that will help you command breakthrough could even be delivered to you on the altar of prayers. Isaac was in constant communication with God. When you are challenged, learn to turn to God in prayers. Don’t turn to man, as man may fail you at critical moments of your life.
Are you in business to get man’s endorsements or validation? You are not in business to live up to the expectations of others, nor should you feel that others are in business to live up to yours. Run your own race! Pave your own unique path.
Isaac knew the source of his breakthrough, hence he ascribed all the glory to God. Who will take the glory of your business breakthrough? God or man?
I decree and declare that you will be empowered by God to command outstanding breakthrough in Jesus mighty name.
Yours sincerely,
Joe Jesimiel Ogbe
