3 Keys to Enjoying Recovery
“And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”
1 Samuel 30:8
God’s ultimate desire for believers is for them to enjoy full scale recovery.
The Bible is replete with recovery stories! For instance, in Gen 14:1-16, Abram and his 318 trained servants recovered all that the enemies had stolen including Lot and family. My beloved, please embrace this prophecy:
That lost job shall be recovered!
That lost opportunity shall be recovered!
That lost position shall be restored! That lost health shall be recovered!
I decree and declare that you will get back or regain that which was lost in Jesus mighty name. A big restoration awaits you, my beloved!
3 Keys to enjoying recovery:
1. The key of Prayer
In the passage under review, David initiated the process of his recovery via his prayer of inquiry. David was not frustrated to the point where he could not relate with his God! No! Some people get so frustrated and angry with God when they lose things. But it is foolhardy to get offended or angry with the One who has your solution in His palms? What did David do! He prayed and asked the right questions: “Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them?” What a powerful strategy!
Don’t forget prayer of inquiry is key and cardinal to your recovery!
2. The key of the Word
The Word of instruction or direction is needed from the Lord. David recovered all because he had a marching order from the Lord.
The secret to his recovery was in the word: “Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” The word of God energised and spurred him into action. For your recovery to be established, you also need a sure word from the Lord. Prayerfully locate a word from Him, and you will have rest for your agitated soul.
3. The key of Sensitivity
Our God is a God of opportunities.
God packaged David’s recovery in an opportunity He presented to him.
The Egyptian young man who was left and abandoned by His wicked master was David’s opportunity to recover all that was lost. Without the young man it would have been impossible to locate the Amalekites in the fields. Please read 1 Samuel 30: 11-16!
The opportunity for your recovery might even be packaged in an insignificant contact person or idea that looks so ludicrous. Who will ever imagine that a seriously sick young man could be the link to David’s recovery? Sensitivity is key!
I decree and declare that you will recover everything you have ever lost to the devil and his cohorts in Jesus mighty name!
Yours sincerely,
