3 Facts about Easter
“And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.”
Acts 4:33
What is Easter?
Easter is one of the most important and oldest Christian festivals. Easter is a season of remembrance and celebration of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Easter is about death-destroying and life-giving power of the Lord Jesus. Knowing or understanding the power of resurrection will boost our walk with and faith in God eminently. No wonder, Apostle Paul expressed his heartfelt desire thus: “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”
Philippians 3:10
Let’s consider 3 outstanding facts about Easter:
1. Easter proves the fact that Jesus Christ is the resurrection personified!
“Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”
John 11:24-25
In this passage, Jesus Christ affirmed that He was the Resurrection! He even predicted His resurrection. The Bible says, “And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.”
Matthew 17:9
2. Easter proves the fact that we all shall experience resurrection!
“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”
John 5:28-29
“And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.”
Acts 24:15
3. Easter proves the fact that resurrection engenders Hope!
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”
1 Peter 1:3
I decree and declare that you will experience the blessings and benefits of Easter in Jesus mighty name.
